There will be some extensive changes to our website happening over the next couple months.
Although we will continue to be Ans UK IT Ltd we will be taking down the ansuk.com website and replacing it with a new one. Hampshire Web Design will become the new trading name for AnsUK. There are a couple of reasons for this change, the main one being that potential customers seem to not be seeing A-N-S-U-K but are instead seeing it as "ansuk" or "and suk" which is potentially giving the wrong impression of our business model. The second reason is that as we are based in Hampshire with our core provisioned service being Web Design and Hosting Solutions so it makes sense from a marketing point of view that our trading name reflects the services we provide.
So how will this affect you? The only difference really will be our domain URL, email addresses and helpdesk location. So instead of you reaching us by going to www.ansuk.com for the main website and http://clients.ansuk.co.uk for the helpdesk. The new websites will be www.hants-web.co.uk for the main website and a new location for the helpdesk which is currently undecided.
When you place your order using a Credit Card or PayPal the logo and company name will still show as AnsUK IT Ltd on the payment page and when you pay by Cheque or Bank Transfer you will still need to address these to AnsUK IT Ltd as Hampshire Web Design will simply be a trading name of AnsUK IT Ltd.
We will also no longer be supporting CubeCart as our core code for Ecommerce websites. Currently we have rewritten a number of aspects of CubeCart which makes it unique to us but we have decided to move away from CubeCart and are in the process of building our own Ecommerce system which we hope to integrate into another commercial script. We are in communications with a number of Ecommerce developers so nothing is written in stone as yet, other than we will not be using CubeCart as the base code. With our hosting service gaining considerable growth we now rent two servers in the Redbus Meridian Gate Data-Centre in London’s Docklands so our plan is to continue to focus on the Web Hosting and Website Design sector.
Other changes will be a completely revamped web design to showcase the new business model. There are no plans to increase our current prices so please don’t worry about that!
We will keep you informed as to when these changes will come into force although www.hants-web.co.uk is already up and running but still uses the current AnsUK Help Desk.
