Important Future Changes

Bookmark and Share

There will be some extensive changes to our website happening over the next couple months.

Those clients who have been with us more than a year will already know that we moved from Hampshire to Doncaster last year which kinda makes “Hampshire Web Design” a tad redundant as we are no longer in Hampshire so after much deliberation, we will be changing our name to Web Kinect. The new domain is already registered and we have a holding page at www.webkinect.co.uk but we still need to build the new website.

So when will we be moving to the new domain? Well we can’t move until the new website is designed but im hoping to be ready to go around the end of September / beginning of October.

How will the move affect you? We will be moving the helpdesk and client area to the new domain so you will need to update your bookmarks but the most important thing will be the new Nameservers. If you have purchased your domain from another provider then you will need to update your Namservers to the new ones dome the time, just like you did when you first joined us. If you purchased your domain through us then you wont need to do anything as this will be done automatically.

Will there be any downtime? There will be approximately an hour of unnavailability while the nameservers are changed but this will only affect the HTTP services, not emails etc.

I will keep you informed every step of the way and give you plenty of notice on the launch day.

If you do need any clarification regarding this information or would just like to have a chat about any of these changes, please do not hesitate to give me a call on 0845 652 0107 during office hours.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support over the last 5 years, without you we wouldn’t be the successful business that we are today.

Kindest regards,

Andrew Stevens
