What can I say other than this is such a terrible and tragic loss for millions of people

I, like millions of other people grew up listening to Michael Jackson’s music and he had this incredible ability to make his fans feel like they were part of his personal life, his friends even and like millions of his fans, his friends and his family am deeply saddened by his tragic and sudden death.

I was glued to the television last night watching his memorial service and I was moved by the many speeches given by his closest friends, particularly those of Stevie Wonder & Brooke Shields which brought me to tears. It was truly wonderful when Jermaine Jackson got up to sing Charley Chaplin’s  “Smile” which Brooke Shields shared that it was Michaels favourite song.

What did annoy me though was nothing about the tribute itself but some of the comments made during the event by Trevor Nelson & the other guy whose name I can’t remember. Some of their comments seemed highly inappropriate, almost joking at times with snide comments such as that made about Trey Lorenz like, “We’re still waiting for his hit record”. This was a memorial for f*#k sake! A way for the millions of people who loved Michael to say their ‘goodbyes’! The BBC clearly felt it was suitable to clear their entire schedule so those who have not switched over to Digital could view the proceedings and then they put these two idiots in place to give a commentary. It makes the whole Jonathan Ross ‘incident’ feel like the Teletubbies!

And now there are those who after watching the tribute who feel the need to slag the whole thing off such as the comments made by; “Damian Thompson, the Blogs Editor of the Telegraph Media Group who says;

“Yes, I know Michael Jackson’s death was a big story – but there’s a difference between being interested into the dramatic details, which I was, and plunging into a state of half nostalgic, half ghoulish, 100 per cent contrived “mourning”, which is what the BBC did”

There always has to be a few people who can’t seem to just accept things for what they are but instead have to whine and complain because it doesn’t suit them. AGAIN, SOMEONE WHOM MILLIONS OF PEOPLE LOVED HAS DIED, HAVE SOME DAMN RESPECT!!!

To Katherine, Joe, Janet, Latoya, Blanket, MJ2, MJ junior, Paris, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine & Marlon: you have my deepest sympathies and I sincerely hope you will find peace. While Michael is no longer with you in body he will always be with you in spirit.

This weekend I visited one of my best friends in Bradford. She only works part time as she has two young children and has 3 cats and a dog. One of her new kittens had been quite ill and found it difficult to eat without making this crunching sound which sounded like a jaw crunching when you open and close your mouth. I insisted that she take the kitten to a Vet immediately as it had also lost a lot of weight and was only 4 months old.

As she receives some state benefits we took the kitten to Bradford PDSA. On arrival a Vet examined the kitten and found a lump in its intestines and believed the kitten might have Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) and made her sign a form for euthanasia if this was the case.

We went home and about 45 minutes later the PDSA Vet called us to say that she had found a tumour in the kitten’s intestines which was inoperable and had euthanized the kitten. She then asked if we would like her to dispose of the body or if we would like to come and collect it which we did.

Needless to say the whole situation was very upsetting, especially as this was a baby but the Vet had wrapped the kitten in a towel and we left. When we got home my best friend wanted to cuddle the kitten and say goodbye, as did her children. However, when she opened the towel the kitten’s intestines fell out as the Vet hadn’t even closed the wound they made to investigate. Already very emotional this was a shocking thing to see for us adults let alone the children who also saw this. At no point were we advised that the wound hadn’t been closed because obviously had we known then we wouldn’t have unwrapped the towel!

We adults were and are traumatised by this so God only knows what this has done to two very young children! I am utterly shocked and disgusted that any Vet or animal professional could do such a thing but for the PDSA, a charity dedicated to the welfare of animals makes the whole experience even worse! I mean, how long would it have taken the Vet to sew or staple the wound? Was it too much to expect the Vet to tell us that the wound was still open? How much would it have actually cost to close the wound? How would they have felt if their beloved pet came home with its guts hanging out?

I appreciate that the PDSA is a charity and that their survival is held by public donations but something like this is surely nothing more than common decency. I don’t know if this is standard practice or it was just a one off but it’s definitely changed my view of a charity supposed to care for animals!

Following on from my post HERE i am very sad to report that Jade passed away at 3:55am this morning in her sleep with her husband and Mother by her side.

Jade’s grief-stricken Mother Jackiey emerged from the house this morning in her pajamas and told reporters: “My beautiful daughter is at peace.”  Jackiey and Jack now have to break the terrible news to her two boys, Freddie & Bobby.

Apparently Jade had been in a coma-like state for the last 48 hours with no idea about what was going on around her.

Jade’s publicist Max Clifford said: “I think she’s going to be remembered as a young girl who has, and who will, save an awful lot of lives.

“She was a very, very brave girl.

“And she faced her death in the way she faced her whole life – full on, with a lot of courage.”

Mr Clifford also paid tribute to the efforts of Jade’s husband, saying: “Jack has been absolutely amazing, nursing her to the end.”

He added: “She died having been in a deep sleep for the past 24 hours. Jack was there and her mum was there.”

Plans are now being made for the funeral. However Jack could apparently miss the service as he faces a court appearance on Thursday.

He will be sentenced for attacking a taxi driver and could face a custodial sentence of up to six months in prison.

My sympathies go out to Jack, Jackiey, Jeff, her two boys and the rest of her family and friends.

R.I.P Jade. Thank you for bringing a face to this terrible disease.

I’m never satisfied with my mobile and although im on a yearly contract & receive a new phone every year it always ends up on eBay 6 months later ready for me to buy a new one.

Then there’s the ringtones, graphics and games and again im never satisfied LOL!

I’m currently hooked on Britney Spears Womanizer song and although i have the MP3 i didn’t want to have to try and cut it up to get the perfect ringtone from it. So i started searching for it online.

I found this fantastic website that not only had the MP3 ringtone but has thousands of others along with all the latest games and great graphics. I then spent the next hour scrutinising their TOS because it advertises as everything for FREE but im i’ve been burnt by this con before and i was damn sure i wouldn’t get cought out again. I for one am sick to death of all these ringtone sites that con you in to paying a weekly fee or worse!

To my amazement everything really is FREE! No cons! No registration required! No download fees! No monthly fees! FREE really does mean FREE! All you have to do is visit their site via your phone, enter a code and click on the download button.

So having downloaded Womanizer and a couple of other tracks to be sure that i wasn’t going to be charged for anything i thought i must let all our readers know about this great site

When did we become so full of our own self importance that we decided which animals have the right to live or die?

I’ve just been watching Grime Busters on Sky 3 and i was shocked to find a man, working for the local council in London, going out into the very few fields remaining in London and along the riverside putting out traps to catch and then kill rats.

I know that rats are considered the scum of the earth and i know that traps are set in and around people’s houses etc but to actually go out into the wild to hunt them down i find shocking!

Don’t get me wrong, im not a fan of rats, just a fan of pro-life in the belief that every animal has the right to live. Frankly if you are so dirty that you do not keep your home clean then you should expect to get infested with rats, cockroaches, earwigs etc but it makes me angry that humanity seems to believe it has the right to determine whether an animal has the right to live or die.

I feel the same when it comes to the likes of fix hunting, badger baiting, deer shooting etc. To hunt any animal for fun is just wrong in my opinion. It’s completely different if you have to kill an animal to survive, whether it is because the animal is attacking you or you need to eat, i mean every animal kills other animals for food but they certainly do it in the name of fun. When was the last time a lioness woke up and thought, “I’m bored, lets go hunt and kill some wilderbeast”? We also seem to forget that it was us that have taken away the homes of all these animals by destroying the forest to build houses!

WO American hate preachers were banned tonight from entering Britain by Home Secretary Jacqui Smith.

Extremist Christian leaders Fred Phelps and daughter Shirley Phelps-Roper had planned to jet into the UK to protest against a play being put on by a gay youth group on Friday. The fanatics are both members of the US Westboro Baptist Church – a sick sect which calls for homosexuals to be killed and CELEBRATES soldiers’ deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Phelps, 79, and his daughter Shirley, 51, had targeted a performance of The Laramie Project, about the death of an American man killed for being gay.

They had boasted they would picket the play, due to be held at a school arts centre in Basingstoke, Hampshire. But the pair will now be stopped by immigration officials on arrival and placed straight on a flight back to the US.

Home Office sources said other church members could also be flagged and stopped if they tried to enter Britain.

The ban comes after Dutch MP Geert Wilders was barred from the UK last week for his extremist views on Islam.

The Westboro Baptist Church, based in Kansas, US, has been dubbed “the most evil religious sect in the world” and was exposed in 2007 by TV documentary-maker Louis Theroux. Its members, mostly Phelps family relatives, regularly picket funerals of US war heroes, claiming their deaths are punishment for America’s tolerance of gays.

Unless you have been living under a stone you must have heard the news that Jade Goody is sadly dying from Cancer.
Sadly there are thousands of people dying from Cancer every day. In fact my own Grandmother died from Cervical Cancer at the age of 58, my own Mother was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer 4 years ago at the age of 56 although thankfully she has beaten it, and i am personally battling Bowel Cancer which is currently in remission.

So why have i decided to post about Jade and what makes Jade’s story anymore important than the thousands of other sufferers?…

Well Jade has always loved the limelight and has been a big part of UK television since she was in Big Brother a few years ago. I’ve never liked Big Brother personally so i never watched her on it but i personally learnt more about Jade when she made her Reality TV show on Living TV which chronicled her life after BB where she was trying to release her own line of Perfume.

This show particularly was great TV. Jade has never been afraid of showing her true self to the world and for me she come across as yet another dim girl trying to become famous. However for all her faults, more than anything she comes across as a truly genuine person who despite a very sad childhood has come out on top and worships her children. So who cares whether she’s a bit ‘thick’? She’s no different than hundreds of thousands of other girls in the same position but for becoming the person she has, she should be solute and she certainly has my utmost respect!

The saddest thing about Jade’s story though and why she has my deepest sympathies is because she’s put a face to Cancer and is showing the world what Cancer victims go through every day.
What is more sad though is how the media have ‘told’ her story. One minute she’s nothing more than a thick bitch and the next minute she’s Mother Teresa! Then the cruel bastards have been predicting her death and how long she might last. Do they not think about the damage they are doing in the name of ‘entertainment’? Not does this poor woman have to deal what she is going through but then she has to pick up a paper and find that people are predicting her death! How about the rest of family? What about her friends? What about her partner? And most importantly, what about her children? How do they think her children are going to feel when they grow up not only without a Mother but then reading about people predicting her death or one week the Media have done nothing but slag her off but the following week they are worshiping her? IT MAKES ME SICK!

I know you’re never likely to read this Jade but my heart goes out to you, to your friends, to your family, to Jack and to your beautiful children. It is not important how well educated you are or from what background you come from. What is important is the person you became despite everything you’ve been through – a wonderful, loving, genuine person who brought two beautiful children into this God Forsaken world and giving them the love that you sadly didn’t receive.

I sincerely hope that you and those close to you can enjoy what precious time you have left and thank you for bringing the Cancer cause to those who have never seen it.

You truly are an inspiration to us all and your children will be very proud of you.
