Help create a broadband ‘blackspot map’

If you want broadband services but can’t get them in your area, the Country Land and Business Association (CLA) wants to hear from you!

This organisation who are a lobby group that looks after the interests of rural communites and businesses, aims to create a map of the UK’s broadband blackspots in order to help solve the problem.
“Unavailability of affordable broadband in rural areas is a real issue, affecting many businesses and homes. We need to establish just how big an issue this is and where the problems lie,” said Douglas Chalmers of the CLA.

BT has claimed in the past that it can provide broadband services to 99.6% of households in the UK. But over the channel, France Telecome has recently announced that it is now able to provide broadband access to every household in the country, using satellite-based technology for extremely remote areas.
